The Friends of the Brain Research Institute  (FBI) is a group of community-minded people who come together for fundraising through the year. Last year they raised over $100,000 to support brain research through three annual events.

The Pegasus Bay Vine Run is held in January each year. Run by the Donaldson family at their fabulous Pegasus Bay vineyard, runners have 5, 10 and 21km options. Professor Ivan Donaldson was a founding neurologist at the New Zealand Brain Research Institute. He now dedicates his time to fundraising for this amazing cause through both the family vineyard and on the FBI team.

Opera Meets Art is held in Autumn at The Piano on Armagh St in Christchurch and is a special night of popular opera and musical theatre together with a silent art auction. The evening includes wine, nibbles, entertainment and a chance to own a beautiful piece of art. This is a must-see event for lovers of fine wine, art and opera!

The Annual FBI Golf Day is held in late November each year at The Christchurch Golf Club, at Shirley Links. This event sells out every year so dust off your clubs, gather a team and join us for a great day's golf with great prizes up for grabs, a silent auction, superb food and even a wine served half way around the course!
