The Friends of the Brain Research Institute  (FBI) is a group of community-minded people who come together for fundraising through the year.  For more information on these events visit our Events page.

Opera Meets Art

Is held in Autumn at The Piano on Armagh St in Christchurch and is a special night of popular opera and musical theatre together with a silent art auction. The evening includes wine, nibbles, entertainment and a chance to own a beautiful piece of art. This is a must-see event for lovers of fine wine, art and opera!

Annual FBI Golf Day

Is held in late November each year at The Christchurch Golf Club, at Shirley Links. This event sells out every year so dust off your clubs, gather a team and join us for a great day's golf with great prizes up for grabs, a silent auction, superb food and even a wine served half way around the course!

Vine run

The New Zealand Brain Research Institute would like to share that we are no longer proceeding with the planned fundraiser in partnership with Pegasus Bay Winery – The Pegasus Bay Vine Run. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who expressed interest in and supported this initiative. Your enthusiasm and generosity are deeply appreciated. In particular, we wish to acknowledge the Donaldson Family for their unwavering generosity and continued support of our work. Their commitment to advancing brain research in New Zealand remains invaluable, and we are truly grateful for their partnership.

The group welcomes new volunteers for their events. If you are interested in volunteering, please email info@nzbri.org
